Still in the spirit of Youth Month!!!

I thought i'd just milk it while we still in it.  And anyway, I'm totally crazy about this T-Shirt which i got in  a gift bag from the Woolworths 'going green' exhibition at Design Indaba when i attended a few years ago, i use any excuse to wear this T-shirt, i think i might even wear it at a formal event given half the chance, just because of what it means to me.  I also think the graphics on it are exceptionally appropriate for Youth Month.

I wore my awesome Woolworths organic cotton T with a pair of high rise jeggings, a black and white leopard print belt, metallic silver\bronze sharp nose heels and a black blazer.
I must say, I also adore all the accessories I'm wearing in this outfit just as much as i do my T-shirt.  Almost all of them where gifts, i mean those awesome prezzies you genuinely enjoy, on top of it, they happen to be from very special people...Luckyme:D

 I'll share each of their stories as i keep enjoying them, for now i just want to mention my red,green, and yellow square earrings.  They were made for me by my kid sister Katlego, better known to me as Kido or Kiddles, they where one of the first pairs she ever made in the beginning of her decision to offer a bag and accessories range, which has now blossomed into the business that is Katalyst Kollection.  I fell in love the moment i saw them and they just keep coming, what i call 'exactly my taste'.

So its been a wonderful weekend filled with celebrations and outings, so it's pretty awesome to end it off on such a fun note.

This was a really fun outfit to put together because the theme is very clear, but I still wanted to colour outside the lines a bit with my interpretation of the School uniform appearance.

So its been well over a year since i wore this outfit, but i just had to share these pics with you cause I'm still just as crazy bout the colour combo now as i was then.  It was the only time i ever wore these pieces together, and it was all by sheer luck that the outfit worked out considering that i hadn't had the chance to try it on before the big reveal*way to risky*

My sister and i had gotten a hasty invite to attend the Woman in Agriculture awards 2011, it could have been 2012 i can't quite recall, in Klerksdorp North West.  Between work and everything else there just wasn't anytime to prepare, i literally got back home from work, threw my work bags down, threw a few items of clothing i thought might work well together for into a travel bag, then hit the highway with a silent prayer that all goes well,set straight for the hotel we had been directed to arrive at by latest 17h30 that afternoon.

Despite all the madness of that day, i'd say i managed quite well for the occasion;D

It was  absolutely love at first sight when i laid eyes on these.  We've been together for a few years now,and sure as the sun will rise, my love still blows like a cool summer breeze, comfortable but  relentlessly exiting,  i found a perfect love that day!!!

My experience before i recieved these precious ladies was definitely just dramatic, I literally drove all over Joburg searching for any places i suspected i might find them. After what looked like an unsuccessful effort, i decided to try Long street in Cape Town while on a short trip there not long after my previous mission hopping to get lucky.  And i did, well, somewhat.  I saw a cream pair in the window of some cute corner shop, which sold anything from second hand jewellery, antique tea sets and stones, to these amazing beauties i had been painfully pinning for since our onset.  Only to discover that not only did they just have two pairs in stock, but both pairs where the wrong size and both not in the original colour combination of my preference, even though i had already decided to settle for whatever, long as i finally have a pair with me.

So i finally ended up having to have them shipped in form Melissa Australia, in the correct size and perfect colour combination...once and for all.  Well, that processes ended up taking a little over three weeks, and i had now spent more then double what i had expected on shipping costs.

The good new in this saga is that none of all that madness changed my feelings towards these beautiful friends.  To add on to my blissful strides in them, they also have this unexpected, pleasant sent about them thats still as potent as the very first time we met.  To that i say, lucky me:D

The idea of wearing top-to-toe strips can seem a bit unapproachable to the more modest dresser, but it is a fact that vertical stripes are flattering and can even elongate the body.  If that truth speaks relevance to you, I’d say make a sturdy effort to include this trend into your closet.  You can always start to introduce it by way of accessories or opting for garments with bolder lines, also not limiting yourself to straight lines.
