Fashion Vent

For me, this is where fashion stops and personal choice steps in.

I consider myself quite open minded and a huge lover of trends.  From oversize to crops, I'm all in it to win it in a soccer fan kind of way, patriotic and all those wonderful feelings.

I've heard too many raving reviews about Ms Rihanna's 'see-through' dress, which she wore to the CFDA Awards, by designer Adam Selman.  She was nominated for the Fashion Icon Award that evening, by the way.

P.S.  I must make it clear that i am a devoted Bad Girl fan, along with the rest of the world.

I think where fashion is concerned covering your privates is essential.  There is a time and place for this look Ms Riri is rocking that evening, and it comes with dim lights and an age restriction.

Fashion will never get to a time where sacrificing your basic privacy, and quite frankly disrespecting everyone by attending a formal event in what i see as, a thong and glitter is cool.  Not everyone wants to see your breasts and behind...

Time and place ladies.

This wasn't Ms Riri's first nude offence.

Valentino Autumn/Winter 2013/14

This collection completely excites me, it is the epitome of discreet sexyness, modest class and youthful maturity, all those wonderful things that make a runway show an inspiring positive display of absolute creativity.  To be able to communicate all these things that combined, signify the aspirations of a true Lady.
Ok so I might be a little bias when it comes to all things Valentino, i'v been in love with the brand since our first introduction at the campus library while i was hassling my way through my Theory of Fashion assignment during my first year at Tech.  The brand has consistently deposited simple elegantly designed garments made of the highest quality craftsmanship since its inception, it is pure magic.
The Labels current designers Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli are described in the 25th issue of OnAther Magazine as discreet and dignified, every bit as their collaborative designs.
"Beauty is not necessarily about clothes in which you show too much of yourself,"Chiuri continues in the article, "We wanted to portray women as paintings, to express emotion and give them a new dignity."
The founder of the Design house Valentino Garavani and his longtime business partner Gaincarlo Giammetti continue to sit in the front row at their successors' shows and expressed that they are extremely happy and relieved with the results of the current teams work.  Giammetti said their work was based on modesty, without the usual commotion such as presumption, scandals and stardom behaviour...a lesson to the entire fashion world."Indeed.

London based 'punk' Fashion Designer VIVIENNE WESTWOOD has been selected to redesign Virgin Atlantic's famed red uniforms. This is absolutely exiting to me because of my connection to Aviation, my devoted unconditional love for Vivienne Westwood, and The inspiration that is 'Sir Richard Branson', What a combo.

Apparently the uniform will be made from recycled materials-including polyester yarn that originated from plastic bottles and canvas created from reused roadside banners and leather off-cuts - and also incorporate Westwood's well-tailored, figure-hugging signature.  The uniform will make its debut for the first time in July 2013, before the official launch in 2014, as seen on VOGUE.CO.UK.
Over 7,500 members of staff, including cabin crew, pilots, Clubhouse staff and Virgin Holidays employees, will wear the new ensembles.
Back here at home, South African Airways cabin crew and grown stuff are dressed by Errol Arendz, Kulula by Craig Port and SA Express Airways by David Tlale.
Collaborations between Airlines and Fashion are always exciting and mutually beneficial.
