London based 'punk' Fashion Designer VIVIENNE WESTWOOD has been selected to redesign Virgin Atlantic's famed red uniforms. This is absolutely exiting to me because of my connection to Aviation, my devoted unconditional love for Vivienne Westwood, and The inspiration that is 'Sir Richard Branson', What a combo.

Apparently the uniform will be made from recycled materials-including polyester yarn that originated from plastic bottles and canvas created from reused roadside banners and leather off-cuts - and also incorporate Westwood's well-tailored, figure-hugging signature.  The uniform will make its debut for the first time in July 2013, before the official launch in 2014, as seen on VOGUE.CO.UK.
Over 7,500 members of staff, including cabin crew, pilots, Clubhouse staff and Virgin Holidays employees, will wear the new ensembles.
Back here at home, South African Airways cabin crew and grown stuff are dressed by Errol Arendz, Kulula by Craig Port and SA Express Airways by David Tlale.
Collaborations between Airlines and Fashion are always exciting and mutually beneficial.
